2019

The paintings in this series stem from the idea of pleasure as a form of protest. In times of oppression and strife, the very act of carving out a moment of joy and pleasure for oneself is life-affirming. In turning away from more overtly critical political works, I hope to sustain myself and others through the visual joy created in these small-sized works. They are created ‘on the run’ as it were…first as digital drawings, and then as finished paintings.
